Sunday Help Session April 29

SyberSuperStars:

This Sunday I will come in to give you help composing your perspectives. I will be floating between Studio Methany and Studio Haight between 3 and 4pm. Please come find me if I am not in your studio - don't just wait at your desk waiting for me to come to you. If there are lots of people needing help, I will start a list based on first come, first serve - so don't show up at 3:45 expecting that I'll have time for you.

I'm excited to help you all out. This is FUN stuff we are doing! Have a great weekend!

Another Way to Cut Entourage

This tutorial demonstrates an additional method to cut objects out of photoshop which some of you may prefer over using the selection tools.

For Week 4

Team:

-Please come to class with one "How to" question written on a scrap of paper, based on what was needed for the last assignment. I will collect these first thing.

-Keep playing around in illustrator, and feel free to do begin playing around in photoshop too.

For Week 3

Supersyber team - For this Thursday:

-Please begin exploring which of the 3 schemes you want to develop into a section. Now is the time to begin thinking about structure and actually INHABITING the space, which is different from last week. You may modify an old scheme or create a new one for Thursday.

-All of you should begin messing around in illustrator for at least 15 minutes before lab. Try the help menu - I think there are some built in tutorials.

-Extra Credit: Post a completed illustrator tutorial you found online. Post the image, the url for the tutorial, and a few sentences describing the experience. Some can be found at: http://movielibrary.lynda.com/html/modListing.asp?pid=8 but you can also just google around to find them.

-Those of you that couldn't drop your sketchup files into the lab network folder by Sunday midnight, don't worry about this time. Many of you didn't realize you need to be on campus or using VPN (VPN is a way to simulate you being on campus - look it up on the oregon computing page so you have to come to school at midnight every Sunday).

See you Thursday. I should have project 1 graded by then. You rock.

Assignment 1 Comments and Help

Hey folks a couple things:

It is fairly difficult to offer help over emails, so keep asking friends to get help. You can also try the help link within blogger.

1-Those of you having problems uploading the template:
-are you using firefox?
-ask several friends, most of you have figured it out.
-try refreshing your page if things looks funny.
-remember you have to save your changes to make them appear in your blog.

2-Please post your images in the main blog window. Some of you have them posted in the sidebar. Please delete the sidebar images and post the images to the central element.

3-I have just updated all the student links. Email me if yours doesn't work as of now.

4-Those of you that could not get your images posted and emailed me images instead:
-Please try to get help posting your images from a friend as soon as possible.
-Try the tips listed in (1) above.
-The email you sent will count as your assignment not being late, but I will only grade posted assignments, so please post your assignment as soon as possible.

5-You should have 10 images posted. Some of you have less. Please fix.

Congrats (most of you) on completing your first cyber assignment.
